Thank you for allowing me to wake up this morning to see my
children’s faces, on a year that I was finally able to bestow them with what I
know they really wanted, not just what I could only afford.
It wasn’t much, it wasn’t obscene, and it was way more than I had ever received but it was what they really wanted. And I fulfilled that. So I give many thanks for that.

I know that these things are only material and that they have no real spiritual value but to a child without a dad, a nannan, a granddad or any other extended family member that actually gives a shit about them, they actually mean a great deal.
These presents say, I hear you. I love you and I will fight hard to be your one constant.
And that is a gift worth much more than you would ever find under any Christmas tree.
